The members of Virginia’s 10th Congressional District Democratic Committee would like to express our appreciation to Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton, Senator Tim Kaine, and Senator Mark Warner for their many years of public service. This dedication was on display during the alarming January 6th attack by a mob of insurrectionists and rioters on the U.S Capitol. While this attack temporarily forced you and your colleagues and staff into a lock-down for your safety, you courageously and quickly resolved to go back to work and ensured the certification of the 2020 election results. We are thankful you were not harmed, and offer our heartfelt condolences for those who lost their lives in protecting the Capitol and democracy itself.
We thank Representative Wexton for her prompt declaration to support the impeachment of Donald Trump. We also request the initiation of a full-scale investigation into the attack on our citadel of liberty, and to bring the perpetrators and their enablers to full account.
